Can't open videos sent to me

I have aM Pro OS X 10.10.5 I downloaded Messenger and it does show all of my friends and their messages. When I try to open any of the videos, it does nothing. Some friends screens are blank with no messages, just a white screen. Also the side scrolling bar seems to be "jumpy". Can anyone help?
